Introduction
This medical coding certification program is designed to increase and test the knowledge of students who are proficient at the basics of medical coding, anatomy, and medical terminology. The student may download course materials and begin to study as soon as registration is complete. If the student would prefer paper-based study materials, he or she may request them from a course instructor.

Lesson Preparation
If you are the independent learner who needs only the curriculum, assignments, and the “test-by” date, you may prefer to move through the modules as quickly as possible to test within a few weeks or a couple of months. If you are the type of student who desires a strict educational path, you may opt to follow the schedule precisely, week-by-week, to ensure completion of the program within the full given six month period. If, like most, you fall somewhere in between, you will move through the materials at the most comfortable pace to suit you and your time schedule and lifestyle.

Final Exam & Grading
The RMC final examination will be activated by the student’s instructor after satisfactory completion of all course work. The RMC certification test is online. The test is 150 questions and once started the student has 24 hours to complete the test. Each student is given two attempts to pass the certification exam.
