In many cases, healthcare professionals already have the experience in billing, coding, auditing, and management, so they just need to take the exam to show that they are certified. MMI is proud to offer online certification exams for medical coding (RMC), medical billing (RMB), medical management (RMM), and medical auditing (RMA). The certification exams include two attempts and are administered completely online through MMI’s interactive learning site. The practice exam is administered online and simulates the final certification exam. You will have an unlimited number of attempts and the results become available for your review. This add-on option is highly recommended. Recommended Material – CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS Coding Books The RMC, RMM, and RMB certification exams reference the current year’s ICD-10-CM, HCPCS II, and CPT® books Exam Eligibility Requirements The certification exams are available only to those who have attended a training program (at least 80 hours through MMI or an outside organization) and/or have more than two years experience in the healthcare field. To apply, you will need to submit the following documents: Submit a verifiable certification of completion from the school in which you successfully completed the 80+ hours of coding training,
OR
Submit two (2) letters of recommendation verifying two (2) years of on-the-job experience using the CPT®, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS II code sets. At least one (1) letter must be on letterhead from your current employer.
